DETAILS ON VISITING RESCUE YOGA

Rescue Yoga has a reopening plan to help keep the students and staff healthy and safe upon returning to the studio.

Upon reopening, we will only be accepting reservations that can be made online through our website or on the Mindbody app. Please make sure you have a current credit card on file as we will not be taking any payments at the studio for a while. If you have questions on how to add your credit card to your account or using the Mindbody app, please contact us by email at rescueyoga@gmail.com or calling 972.978.4927.

Please observe the CDC recommendation of social distancing of 6 feet while in the studio. We love to see students catching up with others, but for now we ask that all conversations take place in the parking lot or on your mats before or after class. Of course this is totally up to you if you decide to wear a mask or not in the studio, however you will not be required to wear a mask in the studio and teachers will not be wearing masks while teaching class. If you personally find this to be a problem or are in a high-risk population, we recommend that you continue to enjoy our classes on ZOOM in the comfort and safety of your home. We trust that you’ll make that decision for yourself.

If you or someone in your household has a fever or COVID-19 symptoms, or if you are under an isolation or quarantine order/directive, or have recently traveled to a hot-spot location, we recommend that you refrain from visiting the studio.

We have posted simple instructions throughout the studio to help the changes move smoothly and thank you in advance for respecting our hygiene standards and processes.

What We are Doing To Protect You

Beyond social distancing the preplanned mat spacing, we will sanitize all shared surfaces after each class and clean the studio thoroughly each day, meeting or exceeding all state, local, and regulatory guidelines relating to sanitation and hygiene to include the use of UV germicidal lights after classes for sanitization of surfaces.

Details On Attending Classes/Private Sessions In-Studio

  • For the time being class sizes will be limited to 11 students. We have marked spots in the studio designating where to place your mat.
  • We request that you arrive to class 10 minutes prior to your first class back in the studio to give yourself time to adhere to the new procedures. Your visit with us is by reservation only. Drop-ins at this time will not be allowed. There will no longer be a physical sign in sheet at the desk. The staff member at the desk will take care of signing you in. Should you have a problem with your account or need to make changes, please email rescueyoga@gmail.com or call us at 972-978-4927 for support.
  • Upon arriving, please remove your shoes and store them in the hallway along the floor.
  • To reduce congestion in the hall we will not be using the cubbies for a while and recommend leaving any non-essential belongings (including purses and cell phones) in your vehicle trunk or in a non-visible place. In place of using cubbies each mat station will have a container to put your keys and jackets in. Everyone will also have a cloth and mat sanitizer to use after your session.
  • Props (including yoga mats) from the studio will no longer be available. Props can be purchased at the studio or you are welcome to bring your own. Please do your part to keep any items that come into the studio sanitary.
  • During this time teachers will not be doing any hands on assisting or moving around the room. They will be staying on their mats just like you, for their safety and yours.
  • Please be sure to bring your own bottled water for your hydration needs.
  • We understand that life happens. If you know you are not going to make it to class that day, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible to make room for another student to take the spot.
  • Please understand that if you show up at the studio without a reservation, it is not guaranteed that you can take a class. If we are at capacity, we will have to turn students away.
  • When we open, only a few classes will be IN-STUDIO, while the others will remain VIRTUAL. Please pay close attention when registering for a class so you know which you are signing up for. The classes will be labeled VIRTUAL or IN-STUDIO
  • To accomodate for our cleaning protocols we have modified some of our class times. Make sure you know the start time of the class when you register so you can show up on time in person or at home.
  • The current government guidelines per the State of Texas recommends that all students sanitize their yoga mat and props before and after class. Please bring sanitizing wipes with you, if possible. We will have spray cleaner and towels available for you after your session.
  • All our IN-STUDIO classes will also be Live on ZOOM. All other classes will be taught on ZOOM from the instructors residence.

We are cautious but very excited about having each of you join us back in the studio when your ready. We promise to do our very best to make it a welcoming and relaxing experience as well as safe one.

Please check back in on this page regularly as it may change from time to time with state and local guidelines changing as the COVID-19 environment shifts in our area.
