It’s been a long day at the home office on Zoom with clients and colleagues. After the stress of staring at that screen and sitting in your chair all day you know just how to unwind. Ahhhh….. to sit back and relax, stretch your legs out on the couch and grab the remote and a glass of pinot grigio to enjoy your next round of binge watching on Netflix or Hulu. Getting a few episodes in and then it’s off to bed, snug as a bug in a rug!

Then morning comes. You wake up with an achy and stiff back, creaky shoulders and knees, tight hamstrings and ridged hips that fee like they belong on a GI Joe doll. Thinking to yourself…WHAT THE HECK…I gave myself some down time…. WHY DO I FEEL LIKE THIS?

Is it possible your new pandemic lifestyle has put you in a position of discomfort and limited range of motion.

Or you may be one that has been so super busy that one day you realize you have not had the benefits of yoga in your body since you don’t know when. Although you’re busy moving, getting your 10,000 steps in, the tension has still built up in your muscles and joints causing your daily activities like climbing stairs or lifting the groceries to be more labored or downright painful.

Today the prescription is the same for both of these groups….an act of self-care with MOVEMENT MEDICINE! Yoga has a way of gently and lovingly moving you through your full range of motion, helping to open up those joints, stretch through those muscles and move energy through the body to help keep it flexible with reduced discomfort or pain.

When linked with the breath, the movement in yoga encourages you to find freedom in the body while helping the mind stay centered.

Enjoy your DAY 3 Yoga Practice.
